What Makes This Recipe So Good
It’s a spicy twist on a refreshing cucumber margarita. It’s not too hot or overwhelming, though, so don’t worry. The jalapeño flavor blends beautifully with the lime and orange, and the sweetness of the simple syrup balances it all out.The recipe’s written for a single-serve cucumber jalapeno margarita, but it’s a super easy recipe to scale up if you’re having a party or just want to share a few margaritas with a friend. Just use the servings adjuster on the recipe card below to increase the recipe to the number of margaritas you need. The ingredient quantities will update automatically!
Chef’s Tips
To avoid watering down your drinks, make special ice cubes specifically for your margarita. Don’t use water, though – use cucumber juice or jalapeño juice (or mix them together) instead! That way, as they melt, they’ll just add more flavor to your drink. If you’re making a big batch of cucumber jalapeno margaritas, you can forgo the cocktail shaker and make everything right in a pitcher instead. Muddle the cucumber and jalapeno slices in the bottom of the pitcher, then add the rest of the ingredients and stir well. You can make up your pitcher margs a couple of hours before you plan to serve them if you want – I would wait to add the ice to the pitcher in that case, though. Just refrigerate the pitcher and add ice right before serving.
