đ What Makes This Recipe So Good
If youâve ever visited Walt Disney World, youâve probably had POG juice. You might know it as Jungle Juice at Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Lodge, or Stitch Juice at Polynesian Villageâs âOhana restaurant, or maybe you had a POG mimosa at EPCOTâs International Flower & Garden Festival. This juice is a cult-classic treat among theme-park-goers, on par with Violet Lemonade, Dole Whips, and Mickey Waffles. Originally and traditionally a Hawaiian recipe, POG juice gets its name from the incredible blend of passion fruit, orange, and guava juices that make up the drink. Itâs naturally sweet and tangy with layers of refreshing, tropical flavors. Disney officially released what they say is their POG juice recipe not too long ago, calling for an all-parts-equal blend of the three juices. While delicious, that recipe tasted a little off from the juice youâll find at the parks. My recipe adjusts the ratios slightly, giving you a sip-for-sip perfect at-home recreation of that fan-favorite breakfast juice. Pair it with our Tonga Toast casserole and pull up your favorite WDW area music on YouTube. Youâll feel at home away from home in no time! The recipe is so simple, and the ingredients are really easy to find at most grocery stores. I recommend using freshly squeezed orange juice if you can for the absolute best flavor, but bottled or frozen OJ works just fine. And you might be thinking âoh, I can just buy premade POG juiceâ, and thatâs true⊠but itâs not the same. Once youâve made it yourself, youâll never consider the premade blend again.

You can serve your POG juice as soon as you mix it up, but I like to let it chill in the fridge for an hour or so. Letting it sit gives the flavors more time to develop and deepen, and itâs so much more refreshing when itâs chilled. I mentioned POG mimosas before, and if youâve never had one, youâre seriously missing out. Theyâre easy to make, too â all you have to do is add sparkling wine or champagne. If youâre making them by the pitcher, I recommend a 2:1:1:1 ratio of juices and wine, but taste and add more as needed until youâve got it how you like it. Pro tip: freeze a batch of POG juice in ice cube trays at least a day before you plan to serve your juice. Make up a second batch of liquid to serve as a drink, and use the frozen POG cubes in your glasses instead of traditional ice. That way your juice isnât watered down as the cubes melt! You could also make your POG juice into POGsicles if you have popsicle molds.
