As I mentioned in some other posts too, I am not a big fan of cooked fruits. I prefer to eat them raw and fresh. However, there is one exception to that - banana. I love cooked bananas more than eating them raw. One reason could be that it’s not a juicy fruit so doesn’t lose its freshness on getting cooked. The other reason is that it tastes sweeter when cooked. That’s the reason most of the recipes where I have cooked fruits are banana desserts. Today I am sharing a very simple pan-fried banana that needs only 4 basic ingredients and gets ready in under 15 minutes. And, it’s so easy to make that even kids can make it. Ingredient notes
Sugar: You may also use honey, maple syrup, agave syrup, coconut sugar, palm sugar, or powdered jaggery.Butter: Vegans may use coconut oil or any plant-based butter.Bananas: Don’t use overripe bananas in this recipe as they will be too mushy for this recipe.
Step 2: Melt butter in a pan. Step 3: Add sugar. Step 4: Stir for a few seconds until the sugar starts melting. Step 5: Add ground cinnamon. Step 6: Saute for a few more seconds. Step 7: Spread banana slices on top of cinnamon butter. Cook for 4-5 minutes or until the bottom side of the banana slices starts turning brown. Step 8: Flip the banana slices and cook the other side too they start turning brown. Your quick and easy pan-fried bananas are ready to be enjoyed.
