Growing up in India, I never got the chance to taste avocado. Though now it’s available in a lot of stores and not very expensive too until the last few years it was either not available in the market or was unaffordable for most people. So, my first tryst with avocado was after shifting to Dubai, unfortunately, it was terrible. The first time I tried it was in an avocado shake, not a great idea as I am not a big fan of milk too. That shake tasted like one very bad medicine which I took as a child so I hated the shake too. It was so bad that I couldn’t drink more than two sips (the second sip was also taken to give it a benefit of doubt). It left a very bad impression of avocado on me and I didn’t try it again for almost two years. A few months back I thought of giving another chance to this ingredient as it was hard to ignore so many positive things said about it, all over the internet. So I started searching for easy avocado recipes as I didn’t want to put too much effort into preparing a dish when I was not sure about the final output. Finally, I came up with my own recipe- a vegetarian avocado and sprouts sandwich which was so good that I make it every 10-15 days. Amit also loves it. Today I am sharing the recipe for this sandwich with you all. Lesson learned – No ingredient is bad, you should know how to use it perfectly.
